Understanding People
Beyond the Surface

My work began with a curiosity about people: what we experience, how we make sense of it, and what helps us move forward.

Studying social work, aging, social justice, and conflict resolution taught me to look beyond an immediate problem. Our relationships, culture, opportunities, and experiences all shape how we move through life.

That perspective became the foundation of Caring Conversations Center, a place where people could speak honestly and be understood as a whole person.

From Providing Therapy to Leading a Team

After years of working directly with clients, I stepped into a leadership role at Caring Conversations Center. I no longer provide therapy myself. Today, I lead a team of therapists who listen thoughtfully, respect each person’s experiences, and help them work toward meaningful change.

My work also includes education, speaking, writing, and guiding the direction of Caring Conversations Center and Ci Notes.

Clinical Experience

For over a decade, I’ve supported adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and life changes.

Practice Leadership

As the Founder, I set the vision, guide the practice, and support a team that brings thoughtful, personal care to every client.

Education and Speaking

I bring conversations about mental health and social justice to classrooms, professional events, and community spaces.

Writing and Events

As an author and storyteller, I create books, podcasts, and live experiences that help people bring what they learn into their daily lives.

Bringing Therapy Into Everyday Life

I created Ci Notes because learning about yourself shouldn’t end when a therapy session does. Through books, podcasts, workshops, and writing, I explore the feelings, relationships, and choices that shape our lives.

My books, Cliché Your Way Through Life, and the Remix, help us look beneath familiar sayings to explore what they can teach us about growth, identity, and emotional wellbeing.

Whether I’m writing, speaking or facilitating a community experience, my goal is to offer something you can reflect on and use in your own life.
